Hala Sultan Tekke, situated on the west bank of the Larnaca Salt Lake, about 6 kilometres southwest of Larnaca, is a mosque and tekke complex that holds significant importance in Islam. The mosque was built just before 1787, and its current structure was completed in 1816. The complex is set amidst a beautiful garden and stands as a symbol of tranquillity. Ranked as the fourth most important holy place of worship in the religion, the mosque is built over the tomb of Umm Haram, the foster-mother of the Prophet Mohammed and wife of Ubada bin al-Samit, a high-ranking officer who led raids against Cyprus in the 7th century. While visiting the mosque, take the opportunity to explore the picturesque Larnaca Salt Lake, located just a short five-minute walk away.

Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) is located in Kuah, the major city of the archipelago. Its most important feature is the giant statue of an eagle (hence the name Eagle Square). It is said in local folklore that the name of the archipelago comes from the Malay words 'helang' (shortened to 'lang'), meaning 'eagle' and 'kawi', meaning reddish-brown.

Despite its small size, the Vieille Ville (literally "Old Town") is still worth a walk, especially during summer. The gates and arches, as well as the backdoors to small and secret streets, make for excellent photographs, and every corner can hide surprises.

Just outside the city, this 19th-century garden was once the private estate of the Loring-Heredia family. Today it’s open to the public, with winding paths, tropical and subtropical plants, a huge collection of palms, and even a Roman aqueduct tucked between the trees.
