Marylou's Coffee

Marylou's chain of coffee shops opened its first location in Hanover, MA in 1986. They may be known for their trademark pink cups, but even the most discerning coffee drinker can look past this gimmick knowing that the cups are filled with some of the best coffee on the South Shore. Another aspect of this chain that cannot be overlooked is its always-stellar customer service.

Grumpy's

Grumpy's is one of those places where the name is a complete contrast to the experience. Despite its gruff-sounding name, you’ll leave with a smile. This family-friendly spot serves a hearty breakfast and lunch, offering a wide variety of options to please everyone. If you're in a hurry, you can call ahead to place a to-go order and pick it up on the way.

The Casual Gourmet

The Casual Gourmet is a wedding catering specialist, but it also operates several shops offering fresh and delicious deli and bakery items. At their locations, you can enjoy a variety of moderately priced items such as coffee, muffins, bagels, and sandwiches. The Casual Gourmet prides itself on quality food and is well-regarded for its contribution to the local community, ensuring both catering services and casual dining experiences are accessible and enjoyable.

Jack's Outback Restaurant

If you want to truly rub elbows with the locals, stop in for breakfast at Jack's. Because this place is so popular, you should definitely try to make it to this little, tucked-away spot before the line gets too long. This also helps to ensure that you will not miss out on the popovers, which are extremely popular and which the restaurant runs out of quickly.
