Coral Cove Park

One of the more northern beaches, Coral Cove Park cannot be missed if you enjoy a quieter beach but still want the benefit of great snorkeling. With 600 feet of guarded sandy real estate for you to enjoy, this is a must see in The Palm Beaches.

DuBois Park

DuBois Park

Large 18-acre park with a lot of activities. Being recently renovated, it has plenty of picnic tables, shade trees, and ample parking. The park is split in two. One side has the picnic area, boat docking, and a children’s swimming area on one end, while the other one has a concrete walkway and lots of room for fishing. Beautiful view of Jupiter Inlet and the boats coming and going. The historical Jupiter lighthouse can be viewed from both parts of the park.

Carlin Park has a massive beachfront park with so much to do, you might have to come back for more! This is a family-friendly park with plenty of parking and picnic tables, several playground areas, bocce ball court, mile long bark-covered jogging track with “fitness stations”, and an eatery (Latitudes Restaurant), all adjacent to the beach. The beach highlight for the kids is a visit at high tide when the water swooshes through the sandstone rock formations at the north end of the beach.

It doesn’t matter if it’s July or January, the Florida sun provides beach weather year-round, and Ocean Cay Park is a great place to enjoy it. The 13-acre park is a great place to stop and have lunch. With a lot of picnic tables, covered seating and bus parking it’s good for large groups as well.

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, the only state park in The Palm Beaches, occupies a scenic barrier island. The snorkel trail by the Blue Heron Bridge is one of the world’s premier dive spots for both experienced scuba divers and beginner snorkelers alike. The trail spreads across a two-acre area beneath the Blue Heron Bridge spanning the Lake Worth Inlet. Underwater photographers delight in the abundance of unique marine life, with frequent visits from stingrays, eels, giant starfish, brightly-colored tropical fish and even an occasional octopus or manatee. Three submerged sculptures of hammerhead sharks, donated by artist and West Palm Beach resident Thomas McDonald, seem to invite visitors to post with them for underwater “shark selfie” photos.

Peanut Island Park, a small island with a wealth of activities, is best reached by water taxi from Sailfish Marina or Riviera Beach Marina. Anchor your boat along the shoreline or take advantage of the water taxi service for a small fee. Sun lovers can enjoy snorkeling, fishing, and swimming in the clear waters surrounding the island. Remember to bring all necessary supplies, as there are no concession areas on Peanut Island.

Pay your respects at the Veterans Memorial located at the park entrance. Stroll along the 1/3-mile concrete path that winds around a picturesque lake with a floating fountain. Discover the preserved mangrove and native coastal planting areas in the southeast corner of the park, providing a glimpse into the natural beauty of the region.

This 12-acre beach park got a face lift in 2011, and families have found even more reason to flock to it for the lovely new Brazilian-walnut hardwood boardwalk. Oceanfront Park has a plethora of parking spots and a sail-shade canopy-covered walkways and benches. Kids will get a kick out of the playground and adorable large sea turtle sculpture, while grown-ups will appreciate that a local artist made it from repurposed metal from an oil rig.

The small reef just off the shore of Gulfstream Park is perfect for snorkeling, and the limited parking ensures that you will have your privacy. This is a perfect location to have a lazy day at the beach.

Delray Public Beach is one of the most accessible and beautiful beaches in South Florida. Sand quality, water warmed by the Gulf Stream current, and safe waves were all factors that led to this being voted one of the top three beaches in the country.

Anchor Park offers a variety of recreational activities and amenities for a fun-filled day in the sun. Enjoy a family volleyball tournament on one of the six beach volleyball courts, or rent a Hobie Wave, take surfing lessons, or embark on a snorkeling excursion to the 1903 SS Inchulva shipwreck. The park also features restaurants and shops for a complete beachside experience. At the south end of Delray Municipal Beach, you can relax and soak up the sun on the pristine white sand.

Be entertained all day at Red Reef Park. A renovated boardwalk offers a pavilion, benches and a beautiful view of the ocean. At the end of the boardwalk is a brick walkway that extends to South Beach, and from there another walkway to the Palmetto Park pavilion. There is also a 9-hole golf course beside the ocean, and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center for the nature lovers.

South Beach Park

South Beach Park of Boca Raton is the ultimate place to observe local bird population and unique foliage. A popular beach that doesn’t always get the traffic more developed beaches do, South Beach offers a lovely, lifeguard-patrolled coastline. Swimming attracts most folks, but you’ll find plenty of opportunities for snorkeling as well.

You can access the pristine beach through three tunnels under Ocean Boulevard, where you'll find nothing but sand dunes and surfers to capture your attention.
