Buenavista Café

Nestled on the cliffs overlooking the sea, Buenavista Café is the perfect spot to take a break from Lima's bustling streets and sit back with a steaming cup of coffee and a snack while you watch the surfers. In case it gets chilly, they provide blankets and heat lamps so you can warm yourself up and enjoy the view a little longer.

La Bodega Verde

Take a break from all the sightseeing and come enjoy a peaceful time at this cosy café where nature embraces you and good food fuels you up for more adventures. Açaí bowls, smoothies, salads, and healthy sandwiches served on artisan bread make up their menu, along with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

El Pan De La Chola

The art of bread making is taken to another level at this hip bakery and coffeehouse in the Miraflores district. Delicious pastries, organic coffee, tea, craft beer, wine and refreshing juices are served here, but the star of the house is, definitely, their artisan sourdough bread, which is made without yeast. Drop by for a bite of their rich sandwiches and a cup of coffee and see for yourself why El Pan De La Chola has become a Lima institution.

Panadería Carmelitas

Serving the Miraflores community for over 35 years, Carmelitas will spoil you for choice. From their French bread, known as the best in Lima, to their empanadas and juices, every item on the menu not only looks but tastes delicious. Try the local's favourite, the chicharrón, which consists of fried pork with onions, sweet potato, and homemade chilly sauce served on crusty artisan bread. Make sure to bring cash as they do not accept cards.

Crem dela Crem

Nothing beats a nice creamy gelato on a warm day, right? Even better if they are made fresh daily using only natural ingredients. That's the recipe for success behind Crem dela Crem, a popular ice cream parlour in Barranco. Whichever flavour you ultimately choose, rest assured you can’t go wrong here. Cakes, milkshakes, and coffee are also on the menu.

Puku Puku

Puku Puku's coffee strives to be just like the morning bird it's named after—a pleasant matinal melody helping you begin your day. Stop by Puku Puku for your caffeine fix before hitting the streets of Lima. Regional coffee beans acquired from Peruvian micro-producers is what you can expect here, aside from the cute decor and laid-back atmosphere.
