It shouldn't be hard to find the perfect place to spend a week or two in Monastir as there are lots of affordable options available which are suitable for families, friends, couples or solo travellers. Book well ahead of time at some of the more upscale hotels and resorts as they fill up surprisingly fast considering the number of rooms on offer. It's worth noting that this list only mentions licensed hotels and holiday apartments but there are private lodgings available that have received high praise from travellers, some of which might be worth taking a look at for those that like a more homely experience whilst on holiday.
