Alykes Beach is a sandy stretch located in the tourist-friendly area of Kato Pafos, close to Poseidonos Avenue. The water quality is rigorously monitored, and the sand is cleaned daily to ensure a pleasant visit. You can enjoy a variety of services from mid-April through October. Access to the beach is straightforward, with provisions for arrivals by bus, car, motorbike and bicycle. There are plenty of hotels, restaurants and cocktail bars nearby.

Vrysoudia Beaches A & B

The beaches known as Vrysoudia A and Vrysoudia B are located next to the hotels of the touristy Kato Pafos, just off Poseidonos Avenue. These sandy beaches, framed by rocks, are managed by Pafos municipality and are clearly signposted. Regular buses stop nearby, and access by car, motorbike or bicycle is straightforward. The beaches undergo daily cleaning, with frequent water quality testing. From April 15th to October 31st, lifeguards patrol with safety equipment. Snorkeling Park

This innovative snorkelling park in Pafos’ Protected Area of the Municipal Baths combines art and marine conservation. The first of its kind in Cyprus, it features free diving among sculptural compositions by artist Yiota Ioannidou. Three oversized shell sculptures, crafted from eco-friendly concrete, sit submerged in close proximity. A smaller cluster of sea urchin sculptures on nearby rocks hints at the underwater discovery awaiting visitors. The shells pay homage to Aphrodite’s mythological connection to Cyprus, echoing her birth from sea foam on a shell. Historically linked to fertility rituals, such shells were offered at the goddess’s temples. The project cleverly bridges this ancient symbolism with modern conservation. Designed to harmonise with the marine environment, the sculptures serve dual purposes. Their geometric shapes and textured interiors attract marine life while functioning as artworks. This creates a unique swimming experience that enhances both biodiversity and the destination’s appeal within a protected zone.
