While Algiers is a city of quiet and calm nights, most of the major hotels feature great nightclubs and bars to enjoy. Also some cafes are open until late and you can meet new people while barhopping from one place to the next. Visiting a Muslim country, women should be aware of the local dress code: covered shoulders and upper arms are highly recommended.
