Public Transport

You can’t miss the bright orange local buses with the sun emblazoned on the side here in Karlstad. Karlstad has a great bus network and tickets can be bought at the ticket vending machines, on your mobile, at the Karlstad tourist office, or Pressbyrån shops. The bus is a great way of getting around the city.

Karlstad Airport (KSD) is located 18 km northwest of Karlstad. Travellers can opt to either rent a car or take a taxi to the city centre. The travel time is estimated to be about 20 minutes.
