Dining en Agia Napa – Protaras

Cypriot cuisine forms the cornerstone of the island’s culture, with meze being its crowning glory. This multi-course feast features around twenty traditional dishes, typically served at celebrations and family gatherings. The experience begins lightly — salads, dips, olives and fresh bread — before progressing to heartier fare. You’ll encounter snails, octopus in red wine, and pickled capers, followed by grilled halloumi (sheep-and-goat’s milk cheese), smoked pork, keftedes (meatballs), sheftalia and sausages. The meal culminates with kebabs, chicken and lamb chops.
