The nearest airport to Tivat is Tivat Airport (TIV), located just 4 kilometres from the city centre — roughly a 10-minute drive. It’s the most convenient option for direct access, and it mainly serves regional and European routes, with connections to many major cities. Once you land, taxis and rental cars are readily available to take you to your accommodation. If you're looking for more flight options, Podgorica Airport (TGD) is another choice, around 90 kilometres from Tivat. This larger airport is about a 1.5-hour drive, offering a broader selection of international flights, particularly from European cities. Buses and taxis connect Podgorica to Tivat, but many travellers opt for private transfers or rental cars for a more comfortable and scenic route through Montenegro’s stunning landscape.
