César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport (ACE)

César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport, also known as Lanzarote or Arrecife Airport, serves the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The local bus to Arrecife (line 22) stops just outside Arrivals and takes around 15 minutes, with services running from early morning till late at night. Other lines connect the airport with Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca (lines 61, 161 and 162), as well as several towns and beaches across the island. There are currently no Uber or other rideshare services available at the airport.

Passport & Visa

Citizens of European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) countries do not need a visa to enter Spain, only a valid ID. Many other countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and New Zealand, benefit from visa-free entry for short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Visitors from visa-exempt countries must hold a valid passport and, starting in late 2025, will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) authorisation online before travelling. For those requiring a visa, such as travellers from some Middle-East, African or Asian nations, a Schengen visa must be obtained prior to arrival. All travellers should ensure their passport is valid for at least three months beyond their intended stay.

Taxi

You'll find an abundance of taxis in the major tourist resorts, but keep in mind that public transport is efficient and often considerably more affordable. It's highly recommended to use only official taxis, which are easily recognisable by their white and red colours. Taxi ranks are typically situated near the city's central station, ensuring you always have access to a ride. Bear in mind that each part of the island has its own dedicated taxi company.

Post offices are generally open only during the morning and early afternoon, and they are closed on Sunday. Stamps are also available from tobacconists and newsstands.
