Aschenbrenner Museum

The founder of the Aschenbrenner Museum, Mrs. Marianne Aschenbrenner, was born in 1928 in Düsseldorf. She told, that once she got a book about porcelain - and she was stoked. Now you can admire this special art: porcelain, which was called 'White Gold' in the 18th century. There is more to see: historic toys and dolls, Easter eggs, nativity Scenes and much more.

Kleines Theater

Fritz Rohrbeck, director and founder of the Kleines Theater (English: Little Theater), felt drawn to the stage ever since he was a boy. After discovering the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen he decided to start a theatre here, and thus the “Little Theatre” was born. The theatre is now in its 3rd generation; its productions regularly delight audiences with their care and attention to detail.

Churches

There are very much old churches in and around Garmisch-Partenkirchen which are worth a visit. For example, there's the Sebastianskircherl. This little chapel stands next to the former cemetery for the victims of the Black Death. Museum Werdenfels

The Museum Werdenfels was set up in 1895 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Here, you can see early artifacts like sacral objects or items of the rural way of life. You also have to look at the 'Fasnachtsraum'. There you will informed about the 5th season the so-called 'Fasching', the unique Bavarian Carnival.
