The popular Füchschen beer has been brewed here, sold at the pub on Ratinger Straße and drunk with much gusto since 1848. In summer, those thirsty for a beer populate the road, and in bad weather the pub has sufficient space inside for all to eat and drink well.

Brauerei Zum Schiffchen in the heart of the Altstadt (Old Town) is the oldest restaurant in Düsseldorf, one considered a typical original Düsseldorf restaurant.
