Shopping The guide was updated:Torquay Road in Pialba hosts the bulk of Hervey Bay’s major shops, banks and a post office. Pialba Place Shopping Centre houses numerous speciality shops.
Both sides of Boat Habour Drive are lined with stores and shops. There is also the Bay Central Shopping Centre containing a Franklin supermarket, Target as well as several smaller speciality shops.
The Esplanade is also lined with shops in between all the cafés, restaurants and accommodations.
There are markets en masse in the Fraser Coast region. The most famous is the Maryborough Heritage Market that takes place every Thursday between 8am-2pm, sending the charming little town back in time.
The Koala Market is held on every second, fourth and fifth Sunday at Kruger Court, Urangan in Hervey Bay between 6am-12am, with stalls selling arts and crafts, trash and treasures, and cakes and jams. The same can be found at the Tin Bay Market held every third Saturday.
The Aboriginal Scrub Hill Community Farm located 2,5 kilometres outside of Hervey Bay sells organic vegetables, tea tree oil and native art work.
