Three submerged sculptures of hammerhead sharks, donated by artist and West Palm Beach resident Thomas McDonald, seem to invite visitors to post with them for underwater “shark selfie” photos.

This 12-acre beach park got a face lift in 2011, and families have found even more reason to flock to it for the lovely new Brazilian-walnut hardwood boardwalk. Oceanfront Park has a plethora of parking spots and a sail-shade canopy-covered walkways and benches. Kids will get a kick out of the playground and adorable large sea turtle sculpture, while grown-ups will appreciate that a local artist made it from repurposed metal from an oil rig.
