Public Transport

Motor-tricycles and pedicabs are the most common way to get around the island. Fares are usually clearly displayed on the vehicle, and are twice as high at night. The price also varies if your destination lies beyond Stations 1, 2 or 3. Additionally, 'Paraws,' local sailboats, serve as a transportation mean to go to other islands and beaches around Boracay.

Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (MPH)

The best way to reach Boracay from Cebu or Manila is by air. Flights arrive into the small Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, also known as 'Caticlan Airport,' on Panay Island regularly from other islands or the mainland. Services are operated by Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, and Royal Air Philippines, which has charter flights to Hong Kong, Nanjing, Taipei and Shanghai–Pudong. The airport is minutes away from the jetty port from where banca boats leave for Cagban Beach throughout the day. The ferry takes approx. 10-20 minutes. There are different companies arranging transfers from this point to Boracay.

Kalibo International Airport (KLO)

The Kalibo International Airport is located 76 kilometres from Boracay. There are different companies arranging transfers from the airport to Boracay or the other way around. Some of the airlines operating here are: Air Seoul, Cebu Pacific, Philippines AirAsia and Royal Air Philippines,

Post

Post offices dot the island and are clearly identified by signage. They are normally open from 9 am to 5 pm, on weekdays only. You can also send your mail from the Boracay Tourist Centre, that is said to be quicker than the post offices, but be aware that it is about 50% more expensive.

Pharmacy

There are pharmacies in most of the island’s communities, which are open from 10 am to 5 pm. Farmacia Gomez and Harlem Drugstore are two of the largest pharmacies on the island. For emergencies, head for the Boracay Medical Centre which is open 24 hours.

Electricity
