Train

The main train station in Timisoara is the Gara Timisoara-Nord (north train station), which is, confusingly, in the west area of the city on Str. Garii 2. There are eight fast trains a day to Bucharest, plus daily services to other major Romanian cities as well as Budapest and Belgrade. Tickets can be purchased at Agenţie de Voiaj CFR at Piata Victoriei 2.

Timisoara International Airport

Timisoara International Airport, located 12 km north-west from the town centre, is linked by the bus Express no.4 (E4) to the city centre and the central railway station of Timisoara city, with service available 24 hours. There is also a taxi service between the airport and the town centre (run by Omnitour). Public Transport

For travelling around the city, the trams and trolleybuses offer the best option with 11 tramlines and 9 trolleybus lines connecting all the major venues, run by Regia Autonoma de Transport Timisoara (RATT).
