The Good Heart — Akrotiri

On the road to the lighthouse, The Good Heart is a family-run taverna that feels more like being invited into someone’s home than dining out. Locals and travellers alike stop here for the warm welcome, generous portions, and food that actually tastes homemade. They grow much of what they serve—from tomatoes and capers to the wine—and it shows. Dishes like goat kleftiko, rabbit in tomato sauce, and vegan moussaka are favourites, and they often start you off with a few small bites or a wine tasting, just because. The sunset view over the sea is a bonus, especially if you grab a table outside. It’s not fancy, but it’s the kind of place people remember long after the trip.
