Tea Gardens

Tea Gardens is a small town on the Myall River, just a short drive across the Singing Bridge to neighbouring Hawks Nest. Surrounded by wetlands, the foundation for the town's valuable fishing industry, Tea Gardens is the southern gateway to the Great Lakes, with a reputation for good food and great events, including the Myall River Festival. The waterfront features a meandering art walk, with plenty of accommodation, outdoor cafés, boat rentals, and fresh oysters to enjoy.

Shoal Bay

Gorgeous and tranquil, Shoal Bay is a prime base for sports fishing and scuba diving, named for the sand shoals scattered around the peninsula. Close to Nelson Bay, this sheltered waterway is also home to the Southern Hemisphere's largest game fishing competition, held each February. Shoal Bay is excellent for bushwalking and bike riding as well.
