Sin é

Sin é
Sin é is Cork's oldest traditional music venue. Tucked away in Coburg Street, the pub is somewhat off-the-beaten track. Traditional in many ways, the bar's name ("sin é" - "that's it") nods to its historic use as a venue for drowning one's sorrows after a wake at the nearby funeral home. Stop by to hear fine traditional music sessions and enjoy good craic every day of the week.

This tiny, authentic pub from the 1920s exudes an old-world ambiance, complete with a welcoming open fire. The Hi-B bar is known for its commitment to fostering good conversation and genuine craic; in fact, it enforces a no-cell-phone policy and forgoes distracting TVs, making it a beloved Cork institution where you can truly immerse yourself in the art of conversation and traditional Irish pub culture.
