Museum Of Contemporary Arts is the first art institution in Taiwan dedicated exclusively to contemporary art. The building that houses the museum was built in the 1920s as an elementary school, and later became Taipei’s city hall. It was not until 2001 that it was converted into an art museum. Over the past years the museum has hosted more than a hundred exhibitions of local and overseas artists.

The University of Latvia Botanical Garden has something to offer at any time of the year, but summer is the time it should definitely not be missed. Bring a picnic set and retreat from the heat underneath the lush green trees.

Teno Rural Park is located near the charming villages of El Palmar, Teno Alto, Los Carrizales, Las Portelas, and Masca. The drive to reach this destination is nothing short of breathtaking, offering awe-inspiring scenery. There is no admission fee to the park, and parking is usually easy. If your plan is hiking from Masca, it is best to explore public transport options or take for a taxi.

The Freedom Monument, or "Milda" (as the locals call it), towers gracefully between the Old Town and the city. The 42-metre-tall statue is a symbol of Latvia’s freedom and independence. The honour guard changes shifts every hour, on the hour, from morning until evening.
