Founded more than 150 years ago, the Bürgerpark has more than enough space for people to relax or take part in sport. There's any number of ways of keeping active here – running, cycling, rowing on the lakes or playing mini golf. Children can let off steam in the many playgrounds or visit their furry friends (goats, sheep and guinea pigs) in the open air animal enclosures. The grassy meadows are the perfect place to have a picnic. Alternatively, there's a great selection of refreshments available at any of the park's four restaurants. The municipal forest is located right next to the Bürgerpark. Its lake (also known as the Unisee (university lake)) is a wonderful place for swimming in summertime.

Dickenson Bay on the northwestern coast of Antigua features one of the most developed beaches on the island with various hotels and restaurants. Its waters are shallow and peaceful, ideal for families with children. One minor downside of Dickenson Bay comes from its level of development. When cruise ships arrive at the bay, the area becomes quite a busy place. This might not be your beach of choice if quiet is what you're looking for, but if you're up for socialising all day long — be sure to stop by.

At the gun range "A Place to Shoot" you can revive your inner frontiersman and participate in firing wild west weaponry. You will be supervised by three experienced instructors as they introduce you to the weapons that won the West. On the range you are provided with 75 rounds of ammunition which you can spend on your own choice of revolver, rifle, or shotgun. Become the marshal you always wanted to be, and keep the towns safe.

This beautiful sight has been nicknamed "The Balcony of Europe". It's not hard to see why: Brühlsche Terrasse stretches above the shore of the river, hence the incredible views it offers. There are plenty of cafes, and benches where you can relax and gaze at the view.
