The beautiful former home of Doris Duke is now a museum housing the Foundation for Islamic Art, which promotes the study and understanding of Islamic arts and cultures. Book a guided tour for exploring the five acre complex with the house itself, a playhouse, a pool, courtyards, terraces, gardens, and water feature. Access to Shangri La is by reservation or business appointment only.

The Pavilion, originally constructed in 1929 as a concert hall, underwent renovation in 1934 and reemerged as a theatre. Adorned in Art Deco style and supported by pillars of local Portland stone, it continues to host regular entertainment. The Solitary Islands Marine Park is the third largest marine protected area in New South Wales, covering a total area of 71,000 hectares and stretching along 75 kilometres of coastline from Coffs Harbour north to the Sandon River mouth. The park is home to an incredible diversity of marine life, including tropical, temperate, and sub-tropical species of fish, coral, and algae, making it a major attraction for divers. Signage throughout the park indicates where specific activities such as diving, fishing, and collecting are permitted.
