Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island is probably the most well-known freshwater lake in Australia. Located a 100 metres above the sea level, it is classified as a “perched lake” — all of the crystal-clear water comes from the rain. High levels of acidity in the lake and the fact that all nutrients have been washed out of the shimmering white silica sand make the water unsuitable for nearly all forms of plant and fish life. It is likely the purest water you'll ever dip your toes in. The Aboriginal name for the lake is Boorangoora, which means "waters of wisdom". It was and still is knowns as a place for decision-making.

The Royal Pavilion was a magnificent palace of George IV that boasts beautiful furniture and an impressive collection of original artworks. It is a very famous landmark in Brighton, known for its amazing and unique edifices, breath-taking views and meticulously tailored gardens.

Hersonissos is the epicentre of night-life in Crete, boasting numerous bars, nightclubs, hotels and restaurants. There is also a series of nice beaches and very small bays for a relaxing day on the sand. Only half an hour drive from the centre of Heraklion, the town is accessible by bus, departing from the station near the port.

A remnant of the city's Islamic past, the Puerta de Toledo is all that remains of the Royal Alcázar of Ciudad Real. It was constructed during the 14th century, and it still impresses with 6 arches, 2 square towers and the ornate coat of arms of Castilla.
