This Baroque castle is undoubtedly the most prominent landmark of Saarbrücken. First mentions of a "Castellum Sarabrucca" date back to medieval times, but the city had seen several attacks and revivals until the building reached its current imposing presence. Today, it is home to various cultural events and the Invisible Jewish Memorial, made up of cobblestones engraved with cemeteries from all across Germany.

Established in 1986 to commemorate Coronado's centennial, Centennial Park is a charming waterfront spot offering panoramic views of the San Diego skyline. Once the docking site for ferries transporting cars and passengers before the Coronado Bridge opened in 1969, the park retains historical elements like the old ferry toll booth. Today, it’s a peaceful escape with lush lawns, colorful flower beds, and plenty of benches for relaxing or enjoying a picnic.
