21-26 August Carl International Film Festival (CIFF), will present a wide program with new films from all over the world, challenging seminars, audience talks with international directors, glamorous festivities as well as events and activities for the film industry. The festival aims to promote openness and freedom, and to highlight directors and filmmakers who work for this through their films. At the same time want to CIFF be a platform for new film from the Baltic Sea countries and offer an international platform where the best of this region are presented in the film program. The festival also strives to be a film industry forum, aming to present new opportunities for international co-productions, financing of film and audiovisual media and storytelling, all the time with the framing of Karlskrona and Southern Sweden

As the BIBA week progresses the student will hold a number of concerts for the public to experience. 20/6 Lövmarknaden - Traditional market Traditional market with great historic roots. It all takes place in the city centre, on and around Stortorget (The great square) and the adjoining streets. Market stalls, food providers and entertainment for the whole family in a fun festival. The market has been held for more than 200 years in one form or another. The market has grown over the years and some 500 marketers now arrive to sell their wares ranging from home-made sweets and local delicacies to toys and basketwork furniture.
