It is located just outside the city of Forli, approximately 70 kilometres from both Bologna and Florence, and 55 kilometres from Rimini. Forli Airport may be small, but it is well-equipped in terms of facilities. As for airlines operating at this airport, Wizz Air and Ryanair are the most important ones. Currently, the airport handles over 346,000 passengers a year.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Rimini is during the summertime, as the city is famous throughout Italy for its beach resorts and vibrant nightlife. The climate is warm in spring and early autumn, and very hot during the months of June, July and August, which makes it perfect for a beach vacation. Also, the major events and festivals are held during the summer, like the famous Pink Night, which usually takes place during the first week of July. Rimini, however, has more to offer, and if you just want to visit the city and enjoy its museums and historical places, summer probably isn't a good idea, as the city gets very crowded and the prices rise considerably during the high season. In September and October the weather is still warm, but the city is quieter, and much more enjoyable.
