Crawford Market (Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Market)

More a throwback to a Victorian market than modern-day India, Crawford Market mostly specialises in fresh fruit and vegetables, although it offers every shade of India's products. The building where it is located features scenes of Indian rural life and farmers on friezes designed by the artist John Kipling, as well as boasting Kipling’s Fountain inside the market itself.
