Derry - Bars & Nightlife
Be sure not to miss out on a pint in one of Derry’s fine drinking establishments. Whether you are looking for a stylish wine bar or an old man's pub, you will find a friendly atmosphere and great music. Most venues stay open until 1am.
Derry’s very young population likes to party and clubs are usually open until about 2am, many have live music. Most charge an entry fee. The city centre can get quite raucous when the clubs spill out so have your wits about you!
Sandino’s
Dedicated politically and culturally to Latin American revolutionaries, Sandino’s is a cosmopolitan haven. An excellent venue for live music.
Peadar O’Donnell’s
Popular with backpackers, Peadar O’Donnell’s provides good old fashioned “craic” and live music every night.
The Exchange
The Exchange Restaurant and Wine Bar is a trendy venue in the city centre. Their wine menu contains quality wine from all around the world and you can enjoy them in a relaxed environment.
Bound For Boston
Combining a traditional Irish setting downstairs with American style décor and full size pool tables upstairs, this bar is a tribute to all those who passed through its doors emigrating to the USA. Good for live music.
The Metro
One of the city’s liveliest and most atmospheric bars. With cheap drinks, great pub food and a DJ most nights, it is definitely a good place for a pint.
