Ever-increasing numbers of visitors are coming to the Kingdom of Crystal to experience true craftsmanship, to discover innovative design and to bargain hunt in outlets and glass shops. Step into the blowing rooms. It is inside amid the rumbling furnaces that molten glass is shaped by skilled glass workers into beautiful art. A fascinating spectacle!

At many glassworks you also have the opportunity to try your hand at blowing, painting and engraving glass. Or how about renting your own glassblower in order to actualise your own innermost designer dreams? In the Kingdom of Crystal everything is possible, and there are always many things going on in the blowing rooms. You can attend concerts, circuses and courses, or why not enjoy a traditional hot-shop herring evening!

Bergdala Studioglas

Bergdala is the only glassworks that still has a blowing room made entirely of wood. Visitors are welcome in to experience the genuine blowing room environment. The shop is right next to the blowing room. You can shop here for Bergdala Studioglas products at factory prices.

Boda

Boda is part of the Kosta Boda brand. In the area many of the old works buildings still remain and in the summer glassblowing is demonstrated. This summer an exhibition will display the works’ historical treasures. In the shop you can bargain hunt for Kosta Boda products at factory prices.

Lindshammar

Now Lindshammar Glassworks, with its fine old traditions, is opening once again. The glassworks that is perhaps best know for having manufactured the large glass obelisk at Sergels Torg in Stockholm will be open this summer. During that period, visitors will have an opportunity to watch glassblowing, to shop and to see Lindshammar’s historical glass collection.

Kosta

Kosta is the oldest glassworks in the Kingdom of Crystal. Glass has been blown here since 1742. Today visitors have an opportunity to witness this spectacle and experience the fantastic glass art that well-known designers create. In the well-stocked shop you can purchase Kosta Boda products at factory prices.

Mats Jonasson Målerås

This glassworks primarily produces art glass and decorative glass, which mainly is cut, painted and engraved. Animal reliefs from Målerås are well-known throughout the world. In recent years the glassworks began experimenting with art work that incorporates both glass and metal.

Nybro

At Nybro Glassworks the focus is largely on painted glass. Naturally all products are hand-painted. The latest collection has a beautiful retro design on bowls, vases and candle lanterns in various colours. Don’t miss bargain hunting in the factory outlet located in downtown Nybro.

Pukeberg

Pukeberg is one of Sweden’s oldest and most well-preserved glassworks. Here you can experience what a glassworks area was like at the beginning of the 1900’s. The blowing room at Pukeberg is directly connected to the shop and is open to visitors. The building also houses the Design Archive – the Archive for Swedish Design.

SEA

SEA knows the art of combining form and function. Ever since its debut in 1956, timeless classics have been created here, always with form and function in a beautiful combination. Here you will find a multitude of delightful items to use and enjoy, items to decorate your rooms and create comfort.

Skruf

At Skruf all glass is made by hand down to the most minute detail. Much of the glass used by the Swedish Parliament and the country’s ambassadors throughout the world comes from here. The blowing room is open to visitors. In the shops you can buy Skruf’s fantastic glass at factory prices.

Transjö Hytta

Transjö Hytta, which is the smallest blowing room in Glasriket, is in an idyllic location right next to Lyckeby river. The atmosphere at Transjö is delightful and the surroundings beautiful. The two master glassmakers demonstrate some of the best glass art in the world.

Åfors

Welcome to Åfors, one of the most exciting settings in the Kingdom of Crystal. It is here that Bertil Vallien, Ulrica Hydman-Vallien and Ludvig Löfgren have their studios. Here you can enjoy both glass art and glassblowing of expert craftsmanship. In the shop you can bargain hunt among Kosta Boda products.
