Located in the northeast of Spain, Vitoria is the capital of the Basque country and has more open space per capita than anywhere else in Spain. With its forty parks and plethora of forests, it has one of the best standards of living in Europe. Home to the best preserved medieval old quarter of the Basque region, designated a "historical site" since 1997, Vitoria has then adapted its aesthetic tradition to contemporary styles of architecture. For a region that is legendary for its fiestas and celebrations, Vitoria will certainly not disappoint you!
