Valencia - Essential Information
Airport
The airport is located 6 miles west of Valencia. Several bus companies depart for the city and the major hotels. Tickets are €1.20 one-way for the twenty minute journey. The taxi stand is just outside the terminal. A fee of €1 per bag is added to the cost of the journey, usually €15.
Public Transport
Use the network of buses, underground trains and trams to get around Valencia. Ticket prices vary from €1.25 for a single journey, to combinations of fares for buses and the underground. Tourists can also get the Valencia Card, which includes unlimited travel on the network within the city. It also entitles you to rebates and discounts on admission fees in shops and restaurants, etc. The card is available for 1-3 days, starting at €10.

Post
Spanish post offices are known as Correos. Stamps can be purchased from post offices and kiosks – the ”Estancos.” The main post office in Valencia is open Monday-Friday 8.30-20.30, and Saturday 9.30–14.00.

Pharmacies in Valencia have alternating open hours at night and at weekends. Addresses are posted at the pharmacies.
