Airport

Lanzarote Airport is in San Bartolomé. Every year around 5.5 million people land here and the airport is expanding rapidly. The local bus stops right outside the Arrivals Hall. The journey to Arrecife takes around 15 to 25 minutes. From there, there are connecting buses to holiday resorts such as, for example, Playa del Carmen.

Public transport

Distances on the island of Lanzarote (800 km2) are not great and getting about by local bus is easy. There is a good transport network and most places of interest are accessible by local transport. All resorts are reached via Arrecife.

Taxi

There are plenty of taxis in the large tourist resorts. But remember that public transport is good and that it is often significantly cheaper.

Furthermore, Lanzarote is well-known for keeping hire car prices low. Normally, you hire the car with a full tank and return it full.
