Lanzarote - Beach Life

It is lovely to go swimming on Lanzarote, but the sea can be wild. Red flags mean that swimming is forbidden. Yellow flags mean that swimming is at your own risk and green flags mean off you go! The best beaches are generally at the southern end of the island – the Papagayo half of the island.

Playas Del Papagayo

At the southern end of Lanzarote there is a candidate for the title of “Spain’s most beautiful beach.” A small bay with a little island in front of it and a mountain of white sand. This is where you find Lanzarote’s unbeatable beaches.
