Jerez - Essential Information
Airport
Stacked sherry barrels greet arrivals at Jerez’s La Parra Airport, 11km northeast of the city. The Cadiz-Jerez bus serves the airport, but seldom seems to coincide with flight arrivals. A taxi into town costs €15-17 and takes about 20 minutes.
Public transport
The historic centre is small and sights are walkable, but there’s a good local bus service and Tour por Jerez, which is an open-top sightseeing bus that loops around the main sights. Buses run to Cadiz, Seville, many of the picturesque pueblos blancos (white towns) and coastal towns. Frequent trains leave for Cadiz and Seville.
