A small, warm and friendly community, the town has long associations with RAF Laarbruch, which closed down in 1999 and became the local airport. The town is rich in history and includes nearby manor houses and three castles, each with their own tale to tell. There are also plenty of lively bars and cafés in and around town, just right for a drink or a chat with the locals. With the stream Niers passing through the centre of the town, you will soon warm to the charm and charisma of the town, which throughout the year puts on a range of events including annual street parties, a Christmas market, handicraft fairs and carnivals. Weeze is located in the middle of the German-Dutch Lower Rhine region. Here you can sample the finest of Germany and The Netherlands!
