France can be visited visa-free for up to 90 days by citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Israel, UAE and most countries in America. International (non-Schengen) travelers need a passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the end of their intended trip in order to enter the Schengen zone. Citizens of Schengen countries, instead, can travel without a passport, but must have a valid ID with them during their stay.

There are numerous post offices around town, establishments characterised by a yellow and blue sign. You will also find a great number of mail boxes throughout the city centre. The main post office is "Poitiers Hôtel de Ville".

A great number of pharmacies is located within Poitiers, bearing a flashing green sign on the outside. The shops are privately owned and can evaluate your situation and help you choosing the most appropriate cure. If the pharmacy is closed, you'll find on the shop window a list of the other pharmacies on duty.
