Lyon - Essential Information

Airport

Saint-Exupéry is located 25 km from the city. You can take the express tram which is the fastest link between the center of Lyon and the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport. The journey takes less than 30 minutes. Taxi to and from the airport takes approx. 30 minutes. Taking the TGV from Perrache or Part-Dieu, you can travel to or from Paris-Charles de Gaulle in two hours.

Public Transport

TCL has an extensive bus, tram and underground railway system in Lyon. Day passes or two-hour passes are frequently the most practical choice. At the Grand Lyon Tourist Bureau at Place Bellecour (open every day from 9 am to 6 pm) you can purchase Lyon City Cards (with the Liberté ticket) which gives acess to all public transport, to museum and exhibitions, boat cruises, concerts and reduced prices in shops. The Lyon City Card is availabe for 1, 2 or 3 days.
