La Grave

Advanced skiers will want to explore the glacial terrain of La Meije, reached by a 20-minute hike from the top of the ski area to the 3 568 metres Dome de la Lauze. From here you can ski all the way down to the ancient climbing village of La Grave. Truely a freerider’s paradise.

Ice Cave

At the top of the Dôme Express funicular (3 200 metres), the wonderful world of ice sculpture awaits you under a few dozen metres of age-old ice.

The Igloo Village

To experience and learn how the Innu live, visit the Kanata igloo village.

Aviation

Alpe D’Huez has a small leisure airport, from where you can experience an unforgettable flight over the resort and the massifs and land on a glacier. 30 minutes flights for 3 people costs €180. Something for the daredevils.

Night Skiing

Night snowsports on the floodlit official TPS Eutelsat stadium piste at Le Signal on Tuesday and Thursday, from 17.30 to 19.30 (winter times) and 18.30 to 20.30 (spring times). Free with Visalp pass or 8,50€ night pass only.

Hammam

With the traditional massage and skin scrub. Moroccan lounge, traditional cooking and a genuine hammam for you to dream on! Open every day from 10.00 to 23.00.

Alpe d´Huez Museum

Reading room with collections on Huez and the Oisans region. Permanent audiovisual centre. Events every week, guided tours of the church of Notre-Dame des Neiges and of the museum exibitions, and various events for children.

Sledge

Unique for France, a 2 km long sledging run with 300 m of vertical and an average incline of 15%. The runs starts from Courchevel 1850, from 09.00 to 19.30.
