Bergerac - Essential Information
Airport
Bergerac’s airport, the Aéroport de Bergerac Périgord Dordogne, is situated around six kilometres (four miles) from the city centre. Taxis can be found just outside the terminal building and the 15-minute (or so) journey costs around €15. If hiring a car, take the main exit out of the airport and follow the signs into the city centre – it is easily identified.
Public transport
Bergerac is a small compact city and can be easily navigated on foot, which is probably the best way to see it. There is a good bus service run by the Transports Urbains de Bergerac (TUB). Timetables are displayed at stops, and also available from the tourist office and the bus station. Both are in the same street, the Rue Neuve d’Argenson.

Taxis are available from the airport and rail station, or by telephone.

Bergerac’s main post office is at 36 Rue Résistance, not far from the Place du Palais.
Pharmacy
Pharmacies are recognised by a large green cross outside the premises, and are generally open 9.00 to 13.00 and from around 14.00 to 19.00 daily, except Sunday. Out of hours is on a rota basis displayed at the premises.
