Alpe d’Huez - Essential Information
Airport
The nearest airport is Grenoble St Geoirs (www.grenoble.aeroport.fr), 99 km from the resort. The best way to get to Alpe d’Huez is by shuttle. Some companies run an efficient and direct transfer in less than 2 hours. You can book online before your trip. BensBus departures and returns are according to your flight schedules (see airport website).
There is also Lyon St Exupéry Airport, about 150 km from the resort (www.lyon.aeroport.fr). From here, you may use the Altibus (www.altibus.com) for 43€ return, which makes a stop in Grenoble. Shuttles leave every hour on Saturday, every two to three hours on weekdays.
Public Transport
There are free shuttles non-stop from 8.00 to 20.00 that take you anywhere within the station. In the evening, taxi is the best way to get back to your hotel or appartment. However, you may reach many points of interests by foot (or skis).
