Karachi - Essential Information
Airport
The Karachi Airport is 15 km northeast of the city. It takes approximately 30-45 minutes to travel from the airport to downtown Karachi.

There are a number of taxis outside the arrivals building. The cost is approximately PKR 250-300 and takes approximately 25 minutes.
A bus runs from dusk to dawn every 30 minutes and costs PKR 5. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes.

There are numerous ways of getting around the city with a plethora of auto-rickshaws, brightly adorned buses, mini buses and tongas (horse driven carriage) waiting to take you to your destination.
