Bangalore - Bars & Nightlife
The tech-savvy denizens of Bangalore might work hard but know how to enjoy themselves. The city has seen a boom in the numbers of pubs, bars and clubs. However thanks to vigilant local authorities who have imposed a 11.30 pm curfew on pubs, bars and clubs, Bangalore’s party has yet to really start. The only exceptions are 24 hour coffee shops that are serviced by some of the best hotels in Bangalore, such as Leela Palace or Pinxx. Despite this the city offers some great nights out if you plan properly. The best clubs and bars still tend to be located in the smartest hotels.
i-BAR
Bangalore’s most happening night spot at the trendy Park Hotel is a great place to dance to house and trance from DJ Deepak on the small dance floor. You can also chill out on the beanbags with a local Kingfisher beer.
13th Floor
The 13th floor is a chic, sexy 120-seater rooftop cocktail lounge where you get a large dose of the Bangalore skyline while you sip cocktails named after weapons.
Noir
Located in the luxurious Le Méridien Bangalore, Noir is up there with the best of Bangalore’s clubs playing retro and house music. The hotel is also home to the F-Bar and Lounge, a franchise of the French Fashion TV bar chain. You can snack on tasty Japanese and Korean snacks. Occasionally there are fashion shows.
NASA
NASA will bring a smile to your face with the good-looking bar staff dressed in pilot outfits. Inside looks like a space capsule and draws big crowds to a bar called the "Fuel Tank".
Purple Haze
Bangalore’s most popular club, Purple Haze is a mecca for the city’s legions of rock and metal fans. Grab a beer and sing along to classics with the locals.
Blue Bar
The Blue Bar is a stylish open-air bar set amidst the beautiful landscaped gardens of The Taj West End Hotel and surrounded by water. Stylish interiors feature solid teak flooring. The music is a blend of lounge, house and retro. A great place for an early evening cocktail. Dress to impress!
Polo Club
The Oberoi Hotel’s smart Polo Club has all the touches of opulence fit for a Maharajah. An alfresco bar that overlooks lush gardens, relax in the deep leather sofas and sample the exemplary service and of course a great drinks list.
