Shenzhen - Cafes
Tea rather than coffee has been the traditional drink of choice for the Chinese but coffee is now widely available. Those who have the money and the inclination will happily while away half-a-day in their favourite coffee shop or tea house. For those of you coming from Europe, you will also be pleasantly surprised to find that the vast majority of Chinese cafes have free wifi.
Starbucks
Shenzhen was quickly on Starbuck’s radar. The first store opened in October 2002 but already, more than 25 are dotted around the city at many of the bigger malls and tourist attractions.
The Chinese like it for the better range of food on offer as well as its far more extensive selections of tea.
