Turning Torso, MalmöThe guide was updated:
It was completed in autumn 2005 and boasts a height of 190 metres, the inspiration for the building coming from a sculpture “Twisting Torso” created by Calatrava himself. Turning Torso consists of nine cubes with five floors each. Including intermediate floors, there is a total of 54 floors, while the twist from base to tip is 90°. The first sod was cut on 14 February 2001, and on 1 November 2005, this twisted tower was ready for occupation.
Although the tower is not open to visitors, many people want to see the Turning Torso for themselves.
