The tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming dynasty, is the first of the imperial tombs of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It took 38 years to complete the construction of the Ming Tomb which, through a history of over 600 years, was incorporated into the UNESCO World heritage list in 2003.
