Bournemouth International Airport is located only 15 minutes away from the town centre and it's conveniently linked with train, bus and taxi services. Car rental companies are also represented at the airport The airport is located approximately 10 kilometres from the main train station, which is served by a regular shuttle bus. Additionally, the bus runs from the airport to the city centre from Monday to Friday.

Bournemouth has an extensive bus network, so look out for the easily visible bright yellow buses! It is warmly recommended to purchase the daily ticket that will give you the possibility to travel around not only Bournemouth, but also Christchurch and Poole. Bournemouth is well connected to the rail network, with trains arriving at the main Bournemouth station, Pokesdown station to the east, and Branksome station to the west. You can even get to London Waterloo in under two hours minutes.

It is easy to hail a cab on the street, especially in the town centre, at the airport or around train stations. Taxis can also be booked over the phone by contacting a company like United Taxis.

Stamps can be purchased from post offices and newsagents. Post offices are generally open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5:30pm, and on Saturday between 9:30am and 12:30pm.
