The salt fields have been in use for over 2,000 years and created the ‘white gold’ of Ibiza. It was the island’s main industry until tourism came to Ibiza. As the water evaporates over the hot summer, salt crust is left on the bottom of the lakes making a spectacular sight every night as it glistens when the sun sets. Bring your camera!

Ses Salines is a large, white sandy beach, popular with the young crowd. The beach has a fine collection of bars and eateries. One side of the beach is a nudist area.
