Airports
Ljubljana’s Jože Pucnik airport lies 25 km to the north, near the little village of Brnik. Regular buses run to and from the city centre. A taxi to the city will cost approximately €35.

Maribor airport lies 12 km south of the city centre, in the small village of Orehova Vas and is easily reached by bus, taxi or private transfer.

Public transport
The bus and train stations in Ljubljana are situated next to each other on Trg Osvobodilne Fronte, just a short walk from the city centre and services the whole of Slovenia as well as neighbouring countries. A city bus trip costs € 1.25 if you pay on the bus with cash. However, if you buy a token (žeton) at any newsagents, kiosk (trafika) or post office then the price is € 0.70.
For € 12.52 you can buy the Ljubljana tourist card which gives you unlimited travel on local buses for 3 days, along with other benefits.
