Billund - Do & See
Billund has a raft of shops, while the surroundings boast beautiful nature and nearby towns offer a flurry of activities, like museums, shopping, a zoo and bars and restaurants. However, LEGOLAND® is still the main attraction, having transformed Billund from a small unknown village far out on the heath some thirty years ago, to the thriving centre of commerce and tourism it is today. The complex is made up of more than 45 million Lego pieces and is packed with attractions, rides, shows and entertainment.
Billund Kirke
Interesting modern church building, erected in 1973, and part of Billund Centret, a cultural centre that apart from the church features a theatre, a library and a café.
Givskud Zoo
Located not far from Billund, this combined safari park and zoo gives visitors the opportunity to see more than 120 species and 1,000 animals from all over the world.
Vejle Konstmuseum
Those with a passion for art can still their cultural needs at Vejle Art Museum.
Jelling
A visit to the burial mounds and runic stones at Jelling, a UNESCO world heritage site located some 20 km east of Billund, is a must for those with a passion for history.
Grene Sande
A protected and uniquely beautiful area, Grene Sande is one of the few places in Denmark where large open stretches of sand dunes occur.
Fishing
Billund is surrounded by splendid waters for angling with a wide range of centres providing organised fishing.
